Lucas S. Marchand, M.D. – Specializes in complex fractures of the upper (wrist to shoulder) and lower extremity (hip to toes). His practice has a special emphasis regarding pelvic and acetabular (hip joint) trauma, non-union and malunion surgery, peri-articular fractures, post-traumatic reconstruction, limb length and rotational deformity, osteomyelitis and bone infections, and pediatric orthopaedic trauma. He is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedics. He has a clinical practice at the University of Utah Hospital and Clinics, the University Orthopaedic Center, and Primary Children's Medical Center.

Dr. Marchand completed his bachelor's degree in Zoology from Idaho State University. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Washington and completed his residency training at the University of Utah Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Following residency he then completed additional fellowship training in orthopaedic traumatology at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center/University of Maryland Baltimore.
